Above 300 hp/300ftlbs, 4WD and the engine in the rear the usefull power you can put to the ground has got to be worth what 100-150 ftlbs in a straightline drag from 0- 70 ish. I'm surprised he didn't get past you. Now if you'ld continued to 140 the tables would turn the other way.

Your car must be a real animal to have "spanked" those two model 911s. They are both quite stout.

I found the video having fun with the GT3 (the female passenger in the TT was feeling sick so they bailed out before we went back up the hill). Btw, the quality is really bad but I will post it soon.

A properly tuned SC 928 can achieve hi 3's -very low 4's 0-60 depending on driver's skill. And to answer Jon, anything past 140 it would not have went the other way,it would have been a worse spanking.

kevin, impretty sure jon is on the same page in thinking the supercharged 928 would have pulled on the 911 S all the way through triple digits.

youtube has been uploading since 2pm currenlty at 68% :-(.

I am sure with LSD and new clutch I can probably get low 4's 0-60mph. Woody got 12.2 sec in the 1/4 mile so that should put him in the high 3sec from 0-60 mph.

During the last year, I have gone out with the local guys at least a half a dozen times. Mostly on the twisties, but we encounter some very long straights. This isn't a race from a dead stop or anything close to being able to measure who's quicker by the tenths. But I have been behind or ahead of 997s, 996s, 996TT, 993s, and 964s. On one occassion, a Lotus Exige. None could pulll away from me and at times I was gaining on them. Especially the Lotus - when we pulled onto the highway.

One time I had a 997 behind me and he started to ride my bumper and then got into the other lane on a two lane road. I gave him room ahead, but he didn't pass. I slowed to make some room ahead, raised my hand, and off we went. The only time he really gained was when my torque converter was slipping going from 3rd and 4th.

It's a great bunch of guys. But they always asked me what I have done to the engine - changed the oil?

I think as long as your are moving (i.e., can downshift to above 2500prm) I thnk we are as quick as any of the newer 911s.

And of course, all of the above were in my dreams and not on an actual road.

We know that, they usually don't. No substitute for engine displacement.
