No flaming please.

I'll bump the "Attention New 928 Owners" thread back up after we're done having fun on this one.

Randy:

Do you censor messages for vendor content as Michael alleges above? If so, what is the criteria?

Hmmm, a cryptic message there from Mike.

I simply moderate this forum in accordance with Rennlist guidelines.

I do on occasion delete SPAM posted by organizations not affiliated with Rennlist, but other than that, it's pretty much wide open.

Perhaps Michael would care to email me or John D. directly, rather than sniping from the weeds? I'm sure we can get this perceived censure issue worked out.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention James.

Hey Randy- I'm not sniping form the weeds! I'm not even 'sniping' - you edited my post censoring out information regarding non-rennlist organizations! That's your choice and if that's your policy, it's fine with me... but why 'hide' from it now and accuse me of 'sniping'?

Under the "new owner" thread I posted a list of links that new owners should be aware of and consider supporting that included the 928 Owner's Club and Rennlist along with dues information, and it was immediately censored and edited by Randy and reposted without the information I had written. The message was posted under my name even though it had been heavily edited. Since it was no longer the message I had written, I removed it.

The explanation I received from you (Randy) was that this forum would only provide information about Rennlist sites. That doesn't sound like the Rennlist I know, but hey, it's your board.

There was absolutely no snipe intended. I did email JD for clarification but have not heard back.

I figured that's what it was about.

While the 928 Owner's Club was launched with good intentions, it appears to be lacking direction and focus since its inception. For that reason, I felt it was inappropriate for it to be endorsed here.

Feel free to email me directly if you would like to discuss this further.

Thanks for your participation here Michael. Your insights and contributions are appreciated.

Randy -

Just as an aside - I thought the 'comments' I posted were going to be private to the moderator... not posted to the list. Sorry about airing this on list. I'll follow-up in an email.
