I have the 993 rotors and conversion kit for 928Intl, so ask Mark A. what the sizes are.

993 N/a front rotors and calipers are the same as the S4 brakes. They use the same piston size (44/36) and pad as the medium S4 caliper (48 x 132mm) with the smaller 304 x 32mm rotor The medium S4 brakes on the 91-92 turbo used the same piston size and pads as these but a different casting accommodating the 322 x 32 mm rotor the big reds/ blacks of the GTS/94 turbo and 993TT used the larger 322 x 32mm rotor (although the 993TT used a different offset rotor) with a slightly larger 58 x 132mm pad and same 44/36 piston size.

Default Using C2 n/a discs

Wanted to revive this thread rather than start another one. Close to where I want to be

I'm looking to upgrade std 944 S2 brakes to the Medium black M030 option with 16" D90 M030 wheels set 9"/7.5". 65 front offset.

I have an option on some low mileage 993 C2 NA calipers which I believe are the same as the S4 M030 medium blacks. Just a different colour. The guy also has some very low mileage drilled 993 NA calipers which are the same dims as the S4/951S/S2 M030 option 304x32 but are slightly different offset 72 vs 77. The stock S2 set up is 74 offset. When I say offset I mean height of disc and top hat when laid flat on a surface.

I know there are adapters that are designed to align the S4 calipers with the S4 discs using the stock s2 hub set up and I've heard concerns that the disc runs close to the steering knuckle (potential heat degradation).

My thought is that by using the C2 calipers the discs would sit 5mm further away from the knuckles than the S4 discs (which is good) and 3mm further away than the stock set up.

I'm wondering about 2 things:

Does anyone make an adapter for the 993 disc/caliper combo and would moving the discs 5mm out from the S4 set up position cause any issues with wheel clearance.

Hope that makes sense ... and be very interested in any views on this.
