I used to have a 67 Austin Healey 3000 my daughter called "daddy's red race car", when I sold it and got the 928, she said it needed a name also, after the first ride, we named it "silver bullet" , ....wonder why?

1986 S2 auto - "Eva" after Eva Braun, Hitler's girlfriend. It was funny at the time.
1987 S4 5spd with LSD in grand prix white - the "Great White"
1979 928 5spd - "Helga" as she is Hellblaumetallic and still wearing her original colour sticker. My favourite.

the 84 'part' because is apart
none for the 83 yet
had a 73 914 2.0 and called her Tabitha (when I get a black on black 930 it is going to be called Samantha) in reference to Bewitched
Wife calls the 83 'POS'

Got 2. '89 manual S4 track car is "Helga". Seemed good for an assertive broad!!
'94 GTS is "Katrina". Two reasons for that one. My wife's name is Katherine, so it is the Deutsch for that, and they are BOTH long term Keepers as far as I am concerned. Second reason is it was a one owner car in Houston TX, I bought it and drove it home not too long after hurricane Katrina had hit the gulf coast. Originally forecast to hit the Houston area, but didn't - thus the GTS "escaped" Katrina, and eventually landed in PA.
The reflector between the tail lights has "TONKA" on it, as for me, this is the ultimate toy.

No creativity at all in our naming scheme...
3 928's :
"the white car"
"the silver car"
"the gray car"
And if we are going somewhere sans P-car we take,
"the truck" or "the jag"
My wife laughs at me and gives me the car-geek ribbing if I slip and use the word shark in any 928 related conversation.

Currently "Money Pit". Hopefully will revert back to "Black Beauty" (the name on the key tag when I first got the car) come springtime.

Our soon to be 18 yr old daughter named my first 928 "Ugh", her nickname for Ugly. My current shark she named "Dunkel" as soon as she heard me mention the words Dunkel Blau, aka Dark Blue color. She loves Dunkel & thought I bought it for her when I first brought it home. The wife's S4 has yet to garner a nick name to truly stick, but a few have floated around the household this past year.
