Flormat

I mean the actual fuel pump, not the lines. I thought my lines were leaking where they connect to the pump or filter. Removed the cover under the tank, fired up a stogie, sat back and took a look. I found some sort of sealant on the fuel pump casing. It's right on the seam where the top joins the body- like on a beer can. Apparently the sealant is not doing a great job.
Anybody ever hear of this?
