What rims are these?

Hi Folks,
Please can someone tell me what rims these are and where to source them? Also are these 18s or 19s? Thanks to all. Regards Sy |

They are a speedline 3.6 Turbo Clone. Most likely made by RH or some other manufacturer.
The speedlines were only offered on the 1994 turbo and a few limited production cars. here is one from a polished set I have for sale. Going rate for factory wheels is from $5200 to $8k depending on who has them. RH replicas will run around $4k new. |
There has been some talk about them in some of the wheel threads. Should be 18". They are very likely made by http://www.rh-alurad.de and called P Rad. 3 piece construction makes them expensive.
There are few cheaper single piece alternatives like Keskin KT2, http://www.keskin-tuning.de. In UK there is other very similar single piece wheel available, http://www.velocewheels.com/veloce36/. At least Keskin is very heavy compared to 964 Turbo 3.6 Speedlines. |
I wish more 3-piece wheels were made like Fikse with the bolts on the inside.

BTW there is someone who might have access to a set of 3.8 RS wheels on the turbo forum. Same wheels as the turbo but 9and 11 inch widths with an ET 5 offset on the rears. Similar deep dish look as the ones posted and a fortune, but will always hold their value. |

The speedlines are already quite heavy weighing in at 25.38 for the 8 x 18 and 26.75 for the 10 x 18. How much more can they weigh?
By the way, what are Speedline ET's? Quess PET has them listed but I'm too lazy to check right now. |

Damn those Speedlines are heavy too. Keskin's are probably few kilos more even.

I think it looks too busy, doesn't help that for a while it seams like everyone started making "3-piece look" wheels. Like the ones on my Audi.

These were the first and only 3 piece wheel Porsche ever used. The 94 turbo was the first "production" car to use 18" wheels. They gave the car a very racy look over the stock Cup 1's used on the 91-92 turbos and 93 GTS. I agree thye are not for every car but a must on my turbo.
Yes on some cars they look great, you have an awesome 3.6. |

There is a 993 Turbo my mechanic is working on right now, darker shade of blue with the same wheels (they look the same, not sure the brand).

I could make the offer to you to move from that pot holed state of yours, but.......well, you'd have fewer bent wheels.;)

Front BBS-RS 080, 9" X 17" Rear BBS-RS 083, 13" X 17" I think they were installed on the car in Germany about 15 years ago when the conversion was done and were probably sourced from Kerscher Tuning. |

I have the Fikse's mach V's on my C2 and although it makes cleaning easier on the outside the speedline is still a nicer wheel IMO. I happen to like the look of the 40 bolts and the speedline is much more durable than the Fikse. BTW there is someone who might have access to a set of 3.8 RS wheels on the turbo forum. That seems crazy to me... spend that kind of dough for 3 piece wheels and they increase your insprung weight? My Kinesis wheels, which look pretty damn similar to these Speedlines, weigh far less. I'd bet they weigh less than the speedlines even with tires mounted on them. |
