Default Quick, while I have the intake off...

No time for powder coating but I thought I might relocate some diagnostic sensors I had put in other locations while it's all apart. I also have two new knock sensors going in to replace the old ones just as a precaution and new vacuum lines etc.

I was thinking of adding a temp sensor and a port to monitor boost pressure through the wall of the intake itself.
Is there any real advantage to sensing pressure from a port drilled into the intake at some particular location versus using a vacuum line? As for temperature sensing, is there an advantage to sensing it inside the intake versus just before the MAF entrance where I have a sensor now?

Since the engine is supercharged I figured I ought to watch as much data as I can while doing the SharkTuning...

replace every piece of rubber you see, it's not worth the hassle to go back in

I can't go there this time, especially since there are no symptoms to make it a priority.
I was mostly concerned with drilling and threading for fittings for pressure and temperature sensors in the intake itself as opposed to where they are now as well as looking for reminders of 'while you're in there' stuff that I might have forgotten or never knew about... Any rubber or vacuum tubing will be done as well as the knock sensors.

Make sure you give the idle stabilizer valve a thorough cleaning - if its still working that is. Should stave off needing to do the wd40 trick for a good while.

Also think about replacing the flappy bearings ( assuming you're already doing the actuator as part of the rubber stuff you say will be done). HK1012RS are the right size and have a seal like the originals.

I have my intake off and will probably pull the valve covers; replace the rubber/seals there as well as the cam chain tensioner guides.
