Default CF parts for a shark...??

I am just dreaming a little about future modifications, you know, once the issues are sorted. I am thinking for next summer maybe.

I saw a few posts about CF hoods and saw one lucky Rennlister got his hands on a CF Hood, albeit a little bit scratched.. (that wold not have worried me either).

Does anyone know any CF manufactures? Again, dreaming about CF hood, front splitter, maybe a GT3 style rear wing....

Like I said, not looking right now (unless someone has something interesting kicking about), but gathering information.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Nick, Keep me posted, however I earn the dollars now, not the pound, I recently emigrated to the US from Blighty, so not sure i can afford the high pound against the dollar, but keep me informed of your progress!

Cheers!

Hi Mark and Nick, when I finally get around to it I also intend to make the parts that Nick mentioned, underbody, diffuser and splitter. The splitter is basically made but will need the joining panel. I contacted some CF companies that make parts for the ricers, they are prepared to look at orders of 20 or more.

My wishlist is the hatch and the sunroof panel, however I would like mine still to work although when you open it in bright sunshine I am noticing a few grey hairs in the mirror. I wouldn't worry about the bonnet as they are light already. Although in saying that a modern functioning bonnet like the Aston Martin DBS would be great, as long as the design looked factory.

guys, at my end this is very much a small volume production - if anything at all! the diffuser is under construction in alloy and the plan is then to look at molding it in carbon. that would definitely look trick the headlight surrounds are already made and on my car but in fibreglass, it shouldnt be too difficult to use these as a mold. the sunroof, well... i left the old steel one with my guys but actualy it seems like more of a challenge to make one of these due to the edges and curves, but we shall see.

Wasn't there a carbon fiber dash on ebay a couple years ago? I don't remember any details about it except it looked cool, but not my taste.

Copey
1bad928 was in the process of converting many parts to CF. He tried to get a few group buys on CF parts with little support.

The vendor link is dead, but if you read some of his posts you'll learn more about his CF work

Hi Greg and Nick

I would be very interested in Nick's headlight deleters and potentially, rear wing (just looking at your signature photo). Not sure about the sunroof, it hasn't opened since I bought the car..

Front splitter would be a welcome addition too..

If you want, you can PM me with indiciative pricing.

Cheers

I like the rear diffuser idea. And I need a CF dash and center console. And a nice front low valence.

Rear diffuser? Is this the wing or are we talking something on the underbody?

I can make CF parts and have a few in process as we speak. They will not be able to be used without paint as that is too much of a pain in the rear diffuser. LOL These parts are for my own use and maybe a few friends. I have thought about doing a hatch but it would be a big project and would require multiple parts to be joined to make it complete. I haven't weighed all of the parts individually but from what has been posted before, the biggest reduction in weight is the glass. Is it illegal to use something other than glass? At first you would think the answer would be yes, but what about all the ragtops that use clear plastic? Does anyone know the answer to this?

Hi Fabio, I wanted them for asthetics only, so tasteful, suble modifications like air ducts, splitter, rear wing (not too tall or wide), maybe wing mirrors..

Regards

Oh! Oh! I'd be all over a rear difuser or a front spliter in CF!

Nick, you know you owe me...

Fabio, do you consider me a friend?

(I just wish I knew how to make this stuff myself.)

Fabio, looks like you will be making a lot of new friends... :-)

I would be happy to purchase and test! ;-)
