Exclamation I Have 30 Days to Sell !

Well some of you may have seen a couple of posts with me alluding to selling my 928 to buy another. I talked it over with my wife and her comment was "If you sell you have to buy another before next summer"

The difficulty is that I have 30 days to sell my existing car to fund the car I want to purchase. (Another 928)

I'm asking $19,000 Firm for my car, non negotiable. I have taken care of nearly all of the mechanical issues and cosmetically I would put it at very good to excellent condition.

I will post more details later including recent maintenance, goods/bads and pictures. Anyone seriously interested can also ask for any specific or detailed pictures, I will be happy to take them. Buyer will be responsible for shipping and PPI expenses.
PS: The car will also get listed on AutoTrader this weekend.

Good luck! Information and GOOD pictures are critical to getting your price. If you're serious about selling put the extra time into your ads, it will payoff unlike a lot of sellers who put small low res pics and an abbreviated description and expect people to get excited about the car. You might think about putting your car on eBay, it's GREAT advertising. You'll get a lot of folks trying to low ball your price but a lot of people will see the car for sale. I have used the "BIN or best offer" format and sold several cars over the last year or so including the black 95 GTS I owned.

The whole "non-negotiable" puts a bad taste in people's mouths.

What is your goal? You might say it's to sell the car, but you would be wrong.

Your goal should be to get as many people that are serious about buying a 928 to call you as possible. Then you can take the time to explain why your car deserves, no... I'm feeling crazy here... commands the $19k price.

Also heed Chucks advice. Post lots of pictures. Point out the warts no matter how insignificant they may seem to you.

BTW, wasn't there a guy who announced he had a $20k budget and was looking for an S4/GT 5-speed? Just thought you might want to know...

guys.......I drove & semi-inspected afshins 928 when he bought it a couple years ago...Marine blue over tan leather with a LSD 5 speed...& low mileage..around 44K then.....it drove very well....... Since he has owned it he has only made it better......Afshin posts to the Concours forum just like I do...& there is examples of the care he has taken of his 928 there...... Sure a better "Ad" with current pictures will help immensely....but this is a very well cared for 928!!

It depends. If you bought a different 87 with higher miles but needed a lot of things... you might find out that $19k, albeit a higher entery price, might be less expensive when you start adding up all the things the "cheaper" car needs.

I should have bout a $20k GT instead of the $15k GT I bought and have put about $10k (ex-Scer) into it.

Without a lot of very detailed pictures and a good description explaining why it's worth $19,000 - I would have to agree.

I still have the keys

It's hard to remember why I own the cars that I do after driving that thing.

Afshin, sound advice here, make sure the market is not already saturated with 951's.

no, if he is talking about the 87 listed in his signature.... although low miles do pull money.. I got an attutued off the bat with "30 days to sell, $19000 non nogo"

here is NADA and I think they treat us very well on our 928 values:

http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.a...506&da=-1&nx=1

but like we used to say at the car lot. "There's an *** for every seat."
