The problem I had with my 86's collapsed mounts was the 1-4 side header hits the crossmember reinforcement arm. The rubber spacer stopped this.

nope. $46.70, exactly. (without shipping insurance, but what the hell)

Shipping is $11(got that confirmed), and no taxes or anything as long as you get the sender to mark the invoice "sample" and total value under NOK200 =(appr. $38)

done this a mill times.

BTW - how much is that truck??

I have never seen one so bad that the sump hits the crossmember. Asked our guy who takes apart the cars 600 or so he did not ever see one where the pan hit the crossmember. Greg Brown has never seen the sump hit but I guess anything is POSSIBLE. As mentioned the heat shield exhaust to the brace will hit and vibrate like crazy...

Oh, that's interesting. I never did check mine for pan to crossmember contact; I just assumed that was the source of the vibration! That's what I get for assuming, I guess!

So, the Speedmount does put some additional pressure on the oilpan and gasket. Damage to the gasket, evidenced by leaking, does not seem to be a foregone conclusion, however.

Thanks for the clarification on that, Jim.
