what trans axle is this???

Default what trans axle is this???
transaxle with the following numbers:

G28/03 110 1178

yes, 928GT shows it's a 1980 5 speed transaxle (worldwide).

question is:

does it have LSD?

(I don't think it does...?)

no, it is a non LSD tranny, if it had an LSD it would have a /12 right after the G28 03

other thing you can do is remove the fill plug on the tranny and look in, you can see if it is an LSD or an open diff very easily.

I done the jack up the car/spin the tire thing some time ago.....but just couldn't remember the numbers game.....

Its early '80 MY. 03 was replaced with G28/05 during MY production.

It only fits a 78-79 or early 1980 ...
