Im in the market for a 928 or a 944 that is in excellent condition, and has less than 60 k miles. Im currently checking one out, but dont know if its still available. thanks.

There is a local 1983 black on black 5 speed 944 with 12K miles on it for sale locally.....the owner is a PCA guy & I've competed against him in concours a few time (yes I did beat him).....the last one was over a year ago..... I remember he told me "I put 53 miles on my car since the last show, which was 11 months before that!" He was quite proud....I told him I drove 60 miles THAT MORNING to get to the show!! But he did beat me that day! :>(

Of course I can't find his name..... He is a PCA guy that lives in Danville near blackhawk (since he wouldn't drive more than a few miles to get to the show).....tall thin white guy with short brown hair, I would guess he is in his late 30's The 944 was perfect....he even had the original tires (they were badly cracked)...and a perfect build sheet and window sticker!

Try contacting the Diablo region PCA and see if they know him....someone has too with a 944 that clean! I know he is waiting for the right buyer.....but his price wasn't bad, but of course I don't remember that either! :>)

there is a magnificant looking 86 928 on ebay right now, black with black turbo twist wheels, and a custom leather interior, and some mods. It has a few issues that don't seem like a big deal (a/c, wipers - which can be fixed without too much hassle). The price is a little high, but within the top of the range (IMHO) for a car of that apparant quality and configuration. The owner is a Rennlist guy.

This is EXACTLY what you are looking for.....low mileage, with stellar maintainence record at a well known shop (Greg Brown of Precision Motorworks).... His price is quite fair for a sub 40K mile S4 in this condition....I have seen Chris's 928 in person....it is VERY nice....
