Talking Been Sittin for a while...

Okay, almost finished with my ignition coil re-wire. She's been sitting for a while. Oil change is next on the list, battery just got checked out and it's good to go. Spark plugs will be swapped out as well before the first crank attempt. I spotted a thread the other day that recommended turning the engine by hand before cranking her over the first time. Anyone have input on how to accomplish this? (after oil change and with battery still disconnected of course.)
As usual, thanks HEAPS for all the suggestions.

get a 27mm socket and ratchet to turn the crank manually, turn clockwise.

Thanks Lizard. Anything else I might want to do that you can think of?
