Dash lights pics please?

I dont have a picture but my dash lights are lame. Seems there is only a small row at the top and bottom that shine down onto the gauge faces. Is this normal? Any pics of illuminated dashes? Thanks

There are many threads on this, if you search. Also try this link there are some pics of stock dash lights

Is this what you were looking for? Sorry, it's from my phone so it's not the best photo.

Silly question but I have to ask... you do have them turned up all the way?
Sometimes if you move the adjustment wheel back and forth a few times it cleans off the contacts a bit.

Go with the Jager/Hooked on Cars LED upgrade, it:thumbup: is well worth it.

As long as we're on the topic of LED illumination, does anyone have a picture of the blue LED digital clock lighting that Nicole sells? There's no picture of it on her web site, and I was wondering if it was pretty bright and easy to see. Anyone with any experience with it?

+1 to the WHITE LEDs. In fact, I've liked having LED lights throughout the interior of the car. HookedOnCars sells all of that stuff.

I have got to do this. At night I can't even see all of my gauges things are so dim. If I try to adjust the wheel, the lights go out completely and I need to fiddle with it until they come back on again.

So, on a scale of 1-10 and $-$$$$ how bad is the LED conversion.

Man, you guys must have amazing vision to be able to have the floodlights on in the dash yet still be able to see down the road without night-blindness from the local glare. I run my original illumination at about 1/3 dim so the gauges are readable but not much more. I guess that's why they put that knob in there, so old farts like me can see out the windshield at night. Bulbs will last longer at lower levels too.

I went white face glow gauges from SpeedHut. I love them, very, very easy to read at night. I have horrible recovery from changes in light intensity, these cause no issues. A-pillar gauges match and are on the same dimmer control.

Here's white at day, lite blue at dusk and full blue at dark. Color shifts to green as well.

No major deal here with either effort or cost ($83). HookedOnCars sells them and it requires the (delicate) removal of the pod. PM me if you'd like more information. With the pod out, there are plenty of WYAI things to do.

Peace,
Tim
