I was just thinking That The previous owner here might have been a little sour because of his own poor decisions and deals. How do we know the present owner hasn't put a little time and money into this car and don't we all want everyone to get more when we sell our cars for whatever reason. I think that bad mouthing a 928 and its problems doesn't do anyone here any good.

Ok, I sort of see what you mean but asking a seller how much they paid for a car is not right. This is nothing personal and only my general feeling.

I just sold a car that I bought to fix , then sell and had a guy call me and ask all kinds of idiotic questions and one of them was how much did I pay for it. This rubbed me the wrong way and told him it was non of his business because it's irrelevant (I put a good aount of time fixing everything) but he was serious so I told him to go F$*K himself!

+1 Agreed!

Who cares, he stated up front about the car, and he will have to answer before God for his actions, too.

My bad, I forgot the Pagans, Druids, the earth, and one's own reflection in the mirror.

I didn't think it relevant either, but I know what blackshark was implying, so I humored him. I made damn good money on that deal, so there can be no sour grapes. He is kind of a dick for asking though, I was trying to let any buyers here to stay away from this one is all. If I was unsrupulous, I would have sold the thing for 11g's and willing to pat the back of anyone else that would do it. But I just ain't that way.

I do have to say it did showed no class to ask such a question but knowing it had that many problems you sure didn't have a problem " making damn good money " so whatever saintly dude.
For whatever reason I don't think 928 owners should be bad mouthing 928 sales it hurts the value of all our cars.
All cars are buyer beware.

backnblack I was going to call you something but you already took care of that. Kevin Michael never said he was a saint, he just said he told the person who bought his car about the problems he knew it had. Why would he or anyone have a problem making damn good money when that is the case?

How does him telling people on the Rennlist 928 forum about possible problems that a car he used to own may have hurt the value of your or anyone elses 928?
