It is not the Porsche logo...just a look alike.

Although the dials are OK, I hate those flat hands... too reminscent of the 1970s watches. If we are to have a 928 watch, it should reflect the design characteristics of the 928, fluid as opposed to angular, sleek as opposed to chunky/clunky. I don't find that here.

Watch hands that reflect the curvature of the car would make it that much better.

I picked #4

Don't throw it out there if you're not willing to take the comments without this kind of reaction.

I like this idea. Wasn't interested initially, but might be if a silhouette similar to this would be included in place of the Kranium logo.

You may be right but what comes to mind when the word "nasty" pops up is (link removed, was to "nasty") or maybe a tumor or a bad cut but not a watch dial.

It is as ridiculess as me stating that is wheels are nasty.
In that case my reaction was spot on....

OK back on topic.
No, the alien head is not coming off...so from what I have read here, this project is dead (the ones who like it are not speaking up). If I make one for me, then I will show it to you.

DANDeMAN,
I can understand your position as a designer, wanting to keep a logo you are proud of, but if the the majority of the folks you market a product to don't have the same appreciation for it, then you need to make a choice. It looks like you made yours although I think if you are really passionate about it you would come up with a new logo for your watches and keep the other one for projects outside of this scope. As someone in the creative field I can appreciate what you are doing and yes the criticism is harsh and hard to take.
If you step back and read this from a laymans point of view there are some great idea's being thrown out here. You could develop a watch with some effort that could be a good seller for you.

PerryS4 offered good insights. Personally, I still like the concept.

WTF are you posting this sort of link on RL for? Nice way to get people swayed your way.

I like them. I like the idea of replacing the logo with a shark outline. If you need the logo on there, make it much smaller and not at 12o'clock.
#1 might be the most "Un-Porsche" and there for be free of Porsche royalty issues.
The Kranium logo is cool, but not porsche or shark related so for most is a turn off. I can see showing the watch to some one and explaining the relavence of each part until I got to the alien head.

What would be nice is just the face itself. I have seen them sold seperate before (Though usualy in the far east with Rolex logos..). You trim them slightly to fit over a watch face you already have. My $50 Timex would become a 928 watch in seconds. And I wouldn't be afraid to wear it wrenching on the car.

Don't give up, this is a very picky hard crowd to please.

great idea....like most of the "font" style...but i dont like the # positioning...i like to be able to read my watch quick. markers at the 9 2 8 position are a bit confusing. but then again im a simplton.
