Ummmm, Julian pie. I used to give the talks at Palomar for the HS kids who were interested in Astronomy. Very, very nice drive in the 928. Then 87 east down the grade, north on San Felipe and open er up! back up 79 and beer-thirty. ****, that's fun.

Seriously one of the hardest parts of leaving SoCal was the amazing, unpatrolled low traffic roads. I used to do the Mt Palomar run at minimum once every 3 months while living out there, either alone or with a group of other car nuts.

Aren't we going to have a meeting sometime soon at the Bernado winery again?
I suggest a Temecula winery meet for a more centralized, spirited drive for this Spring. I agree Dr. Bob, the RB winery meet's were scheduled around the music, but your approach makes much more sense. Is someone here familiar with the Temecula winery,s that could suggest the "must see" sights?
Chazz invited me for the Palomar drive after a 928 drive of Ortega Hwy (Yes, the old 928 crew.. Big Jim, Keith, Chazz, Joe, Ron) but I had to pass, it sounds like a great drive so I'm looking forward to that one!
Lee- it's good to see you are making headway but the next couple of month's are family time.

I have been threatening to do a Karting event up in Irvine, since the Carlsbad event was so well represented by OC and LA listers. In fact, we San Diegan's were outnumbered!! Shame on us. I will probably start a separate thread so as not to hijack this one, but was thinking late January/early February. Irvine isn't that far away for any of the previous attendees.
