OK, I'm going to suggest for the good of Rennlist, the 928OC and the entire 928 community that this thread get deleted except for the first message and closed.
Just an announcement about a cool tool purchased by the 928OC to be used at future 928OC events.

Work for everyone?

I second your suggestion John.

Fine with me.

Preferable to me, to delete the entire topic, as I suggested to Randy when he first PM'd me about his displeasure.

I will just make announcements on other forums (as I did with this one as well) and avoid making such announcements on Rennlist.

Perhaps in the future, you post the thread and close it immediately. That way no discussion can occur. I see no reason for the 928OC to self-censor to the extent of not posting OC announcements on Rennlist.

Stan............thanks for the announcement of the new tool that's available to the OC members et al.

Do I correctly assume that if we Rennlist folks show up at an OC event where the tool is being demonstrated there's no requierment to show OC membership?

Just asking 'cause I like many others carry both cards and don't care as its all for the common good.

Randy.............you need to see the big picture here despite your new boss.

Ive met stan twice and purchaced parts from him. To suggest he is being decitful and scandalus is lauaghable. He is of valuable knowlage to rennlist. His intentions are only to be helpful. so why crap on him?

Hi Malcolm (if I recall correctly),

928 events are always run by volunteers, so I don't want to say specifically what they would do. Right now the 928 OC board has not made any decisions on what, if any, requirements there would be.

With that said, the 928 OC sponsorship has not been limited to 928 OC members, for example we encourage event coordinators to treat all event participants the same. I am not aware of any events where a non 928 OC member wouldn't be welcomed. If someone is, I would be interested in hearing about it.

I have done my best to reach out to event coordinators, even those that are not 928 OC members. Clearly in the long term we would like the support of the 928 community to continue to support events, and we need to review whether our members are benefiting from the events we sponsor.

So, in perhaps a less wordy fashion, I expect event coordinators to use the tool at their own discretion and certainly expect non 928 OC members to benefit. Hopefully if they find value in what we are doing they will consider joining

Hi Stan (if I recall correctly), President 928 OC,

Exactly what I expected you to say and great for you.

No division at all; just a solid 928 sharing

best regards............Malcolm

For many of us in the US, tomorrow is "Friday"!

I would hate to see announcements that involve of affect the 928 community restricted or limited in any way, I might miss something important. Please continue to announce things here.
