But heres a ??? You say not to pull out the "pin"......but on page three where you tension the tensioner it shows it in place, then in the lower picture its not...but you didn't say to pull it out? Or am I just blind?
It seemed like an easy proposition at first, but it took a whole pile of prototypes to get the dimensions and placement right. Adding the airpump was another 'easy' project, which made another, smaller, pile of scrap.

"Use a 8mm allen key inserted in tensioner pulley to rotate pulley CW and depress tensioner piston slightly.
Remove pin. Rotate pulley CCW lightly to pretension belt (11ft.lbs.)"

John,

Thanks, but there is no 'US version'. Shipping is included, so the price is higher for outside the US.

Okay...didn't understand that as you have ROW and US versions and that it referred to shipping..I thought it referred to engine type.......well, I've sent 149 US (140 CDN)....now thats a switch.....let me know how and i'll send you the balance.

Okay....didn't understand that as the web site refers to ROW and US and i thought it meant engine origin not shipping instructions.....anyway, ive sent 149 US (140cdn)...not thats a switch...i can sent the balace thrpough a credit card or whatever. I prefer shipping with USPS direct to my mailing address...much cheaper and faster than courier companies.

I'm now beyond 4k kms since the install.............some of those km's were quite 'hard' and not an issue.

As the cold weather comes in I'm resetting my cams back to stock settings so I'll have the tbelt covers off and take a good look; dont anticipate any issues.

BTW its noted in this thread the cost of doing the tbelt swap and all the usual suspects with the OEM set up. When I priced all the rollers, the OEM tensioner parts and the belt the new Porken tensioner assembly. was quite cheaper. Prices may have changed now that there's proven competition especially for us North of the border.

Hi Ken,
I have ordered one of your devices. I am unclear what comes with the kit. Does it include, pulley, tensioner, gasket, and all bolts? Some of the earlier posts show pictures of all these parts as if they are included.
Thanks,

Dave,
If you read his page for ordering it says it is only the bracket and the timing belt light work around.

the manual has the audi part #s for all the other required parts.

Included:
(1) Bracket - laser cut, nickel plated, steel
(2) Water pump plug, early-8mm, late-10mm, SS
(1) Mounting bolt set
(1) Tension light defeat kit

The Audi tensioner lever, and pulley each come with their own bolts and washers in the box. The mounting bolt set has all the other bolts needed.

Yep. Now I understand; I should have read more carefully.
Thanks

Default Audi parts group buy?

Is it worth it to do a group buy on the Audi parts needed?
