I emailed my opinion and got a reply. Sounds like he just didnt know any better?
Hello Mike,I have come to the conclusion,That I will be loosing alot of money on this car when it sells. And after getting your first letter it made me think about why should I sell it and loose that kind of money on it.My best bet is to part it out and.As far as these things you have listed.Your right I should heve joined a 928 group. These things about "bing plain looking in single color"are indeed my own opinion.I belive that, and I do think these are anything but dull. They were engineered so well.I have DVD ROM that break down every part.Just the seats frames are amazing. But the speed is just what I read in these Books. And the valve stems and the red light are not personal experiance(Because I have never drivin this car-So how could I know)Som eliteriture has said this car tops out at 140 MPH But I do not know this to be fact. And the BBS rims are rspeed rated along with the tires. This car could never blow them out because of speed thats What all infomation points to.And with the 911.In body shops I have been employed in 7,and thats the damage you find done to these PORSHE's.Is in the rear.I was told by those driving them that, that is what that was from breaking loose in the corners(I don't think they would make very good drifting cars)But then again that is my own opinion. And It sounds like you might pretty well versed on the 928,because you have them.and I can asume that you drive them.I do not.If I did I would know more -and would want to know more.If you find errors in my listing "Not the ones that are of my own opinion"let me know all and I can edit. But the more I think about it .It would be better to part this car out.Sencerly Rob Luc

And the prior owner did not have the keyed ignition replaced. He bought me the electronic portion of it to locate in a hidden remote erea. This starts the car with a philips screwdriver and the key unlocks the steering column. Also the idol has been getting incresingly higher(almost at 2000 RPMs.).
The looks of the car are actually growing on me. I think he is asking too much for it, considering its mechanical defects.

Hmm, only 4 hours from here. Maybe if I show up with a crisp fifty dollar bill I can add it to my collection.

I think someone needs to save this car.
I Kinda feel for the guy, he's put his heart in it. Man, poor car.

His concept isn't completely unheard of, but to emulate a 30 year old European lower division formula car is pretty much just silly if you intend to sell it.
Ford and General Motors have built a few NASCAR and other racing concept cars over the years, based on current popular drivers, and were able to get top dollar for them. The Mustang GT 350 a case in point.
Personally, I'm still holding out for a cherry General Lee.

I like the paint job, except for the all the childish looking letters and logos. I think it would make a cool body for race car, and I agree with his statement "It looks fast when it's just sitting still". Since he has never driven it and used an $8.00 hobby model kit as a decal template, maybe he was just using this car to practice his painting on? (probably got a five-finger discount on the paint from one of his 7 previous employers)
I like the painted wing too:
