Default Washers how thick for spacing S4 calipers on rear?

For the 78-86 cars? How thick do the washer/spacer things need to be?

I haven't yet done my upgrade but remember reading that 2 regular washers are enough to bring the caliper in aligment.

What discs will you use and will they still work with the handbrake?

Oh, its just S4 rear disks at this time, but its on a 78, so there is a spacer needed to mount the calipers in the correct "offset"

add some screws to hold on the rotors or put on 2 lugnuts to hold the rotor to the hub then fit the caliper make sure both sides of the caliper have equal distances from the rotor faces, after you find the correct shims/washers try adding some weatherstrip adhesive to the shims and glue them onto your calipers. Did you ever straighten out the blades of your lower control arms?

No. I have 86 lower arms One or the other is bent and I may try to use one of them... Basically the same but more heavy duty. I will strip them and have them powdercoated... Slowly while I build the rest of the car. I don't think its going to affect the alignment or handling very much.
