Floor & Trunk Mats

Interesting...So "naive me" was driving around for the last 1500 mi. or so since I bought my car 3 yrs. ago (before discovering I had been sold a Thrust Bearing Failed 928) while driving on the carpets and not the mats? These things look so much like floor mats and even connect to the floor board in a similar fashion to conventional mats using those threaded posts/caps. It should be interesting to how mats feel underfoot in addition to this bulky carpet/foam. I'm guessing it may interfere somewhat with foot activity with all that bulk. We shall see.
I guess I've really just showed my ignorance. Now I'm hoping too many people didn't read this and role their eyes in contempt.
Thanks for your help guys,

Don't sweat it, trust me you aren't the first to think that and you belong to a pretty large "club".
Oh, and I highly doubt you will be the last member, we hear it all the time.

So, which grade of floor mats are most people ordering for their 928s? Lloyd's makes the "Ultimate" and "Heavyweight" (thicker).
I was just a little concerned that the "Heavyweight" might be too bulky and might interfere w/ foot pedals.
Thanks,
Nicholas

The Ultimate is the way to go. Even the Ultimate is slightly thicker than the stock Porsche but they fit well.
