i am not sure who Randy V is

Mrmerlin 09-30-2007 02:22 AM

it might help to describe your issues, and what your needs are, and what your expectations are

You're asking a lot IMHO. If someone asked me to help them like you just did... FOR FREE, I probably wouldn't help them.

I think you should take this in baby steps. First ask if anyone local can come by and help diagnose the issue. Once you know the problem then you can start asking advice on how to remedy the issue and ask for a hand where you don't have a capability or knowledge.

This is a very generous group of people - one that I'm proud to be associated with. In my experience, people who are willing to try stuff and work things out for themselves are usually held in higher regard than people who leech off of others. Your request comes off as the latter. It's not an elitist thing, its a camaraderie thing.

Good luck.

Who are you?

Mrmerlin 09-30-2007 11:52 AM

I personally cant be there, but i would be willing to interpret your questions and provide info that might help your situtation............ but really WHO ARE YOU?????

perrys4 09-30-2007 11:55 AM

Theres Bill Swift but he owes me help with a set of engine mounts before he tackles your job..LOL!! Ya reading this Bill?? Then theres Mongo, he could probably help you out if he can pull himself away from his lady for five minutes (or if she undoes the handcuffs) and of course there is IBKevin. Good guy, very knowledgable.

+1

My 0.02:

1) Newbie introduction post with pictures of 928
2) use SEARCH function about your car's problems and read a lot of threads to get a feel for the 928 lingo.
2) make ONE thread, not 3, about your car's problems.

After an introduction like that, who could refuse?

Me, for one.

V2Rocket 09-30-2007 04:05 PM

What's the problem? I might be able to wrench a bit.

6mil928 09-30-2007 04:37 PM

After that beating think he will even show back up in here:icon107: I'm always looking for free labor too. Any takers:banghead:

His recent intake R and R did not go well , quote ; " Hi , i just reinstalled my intake manifold and I tried turning it and it will sound really bad, i here some metal to metal contact, does any one know whats wrong? I think I might have the pistons hitting the valves. " That was after his comment that he might have lost some nuts and bolts. The sequence of the posts and the unfolding story sounds a lot like a TROLL .
