I'll be flying in from Delaware, but the car is still on the west coast at the moment. After the NORC, we'll drive it back to my new home - should be a fun road trip! Looking forward to seeing you again.

Tim,
I will be navigating for Matt at the NORC. This will give me a chance to see the road.
I talked to Steve W. about running in SS, and he said I need to run in 150 GS first,
even though I've run 155 6 times and 160 5 times I wish these guys could work
this all out...
To the rest of you,
I have an article in the current Autobaun Ambitions magazine about last years ORR season,
Tim and Cheryl were the 928 stars last year ( http://www.autobahnambitionmag.com/ ).

That's to bad George, you certainly are qualified to run in SS at any venue. I could see having you run 160 before you ran 170-Unlimited, but not 155. That's crawling.
We are all staying in the same place so we can talk about it, maybe agree to go to vegas to qualify your car in exchange for the option to run in SS. When you run 200 mph in the B100 and Pony maybe Steve will change his mind.
See you on Saturday.

you and any other driver should help also. And they don't have a 155 class, so
it have to be 150 mph....

I forgot about not having 155. You, me, Richard and Charlie could talk to him and see where he would stand before and after your 200 mile passes this summer. I will help however I can.

Then it's a great idea talk to Frank McKinnon, whose word is Law...
Finally, in this litany of unsolicited advice to people who probably know all of this already, I would keep it all rather discreet, as there are a few ORR rulemakers who aren't very good at being seen to change their minds in public...
PS Anybody for a sweepstake on how many times the following questions are asked on Saturday night:
1) Can I go faster than 124mph on my first run?
2) Can I drive back along the road in the finish area?
3) So you really mean I can't go faster then 124mph on my first run?
4) So, if I have to stop, can I start again?
5) This is my first time - how fast am I allowed to go?

Simon,
Good points on Steve and Frank. I don't see that there was anything in my response to even remotely "challenge" someones decision. (However I do know what you are talking about) I was simply advancing alternate ways of accomplishing what George wanted to do. I do think it is only reasonable that when he breaks 200 at MKM, he should be allowed to run in the supersport class assuming the car techs for that speed at Silver State. I do think SSCC will see it that way if George delivers on the speed.
I'll enter the sweepstakes and guess 7 times each on the questions.
Add a couple more questions at the meeetiing and start line. "What do you mean I can't have my luggage & tools in the back seat, where will I put them?
Why does my navigator have to wear a helmet, he's (she's) not driving?
What happens if I run out of gas?

I certainly didn't mean to imply you were going looking for trouble.
So true on the pre-race questions!
See you all there next week - it looks like we'll have a very decent Pcar turnout.

I didn't think you did, Simon. I get into enough trouble without looking for it.
