I have it in the spot behind the parking brake. Fits perfectly.

Mounted in front of back seat, behind passenger seat, no drilling, using the bracket already in place:

Check out this thread...I had dinner with Chuck last Tuesday, on Wednesday his dash catches fire Chuck didn't have a fire extinguisher, otherwise he might have put out the fire before major damage.

Always a good idea to have one in the car, regardless of age/make/etc.

I have always carried one, ever since my friends 68 vett burnt to the ground after a nasty backfire (no air cleaner), we watched the hood melt and it burnt to the ground!
I was 18 and learned big lessons, don’t run w/o an air filter and always carry a fire extinguisher.

On the side of the road you’re helpless, and any firefighter will tell you “its all about the response time”. Also knowing the proper usage is important in actually stopping a fire (where and when to spray).

I keep mine on the shelf, with a shop towel to stop it from sliding and harming the felt.
However I would like a driver side seat mount (that moves w/seat).
Here is one I saw this past weekend at “Battle of the Brits” in a Lotus, looked like a real clean install.

Here's how I installed my Amerex 2.5 Halon extinguisher. Mount attaches to motor support bracket under passenger seat and moves back and forth with seat adjustment. Quick release would be nice but, as Sterling points out, is more expensive than the extinguisher.
