Where did you find that one? This looks like a '94/95 in the very rare amaranth violet non-metallic and all marble grey interior.
Interesting: It does neither have the US side marker lights, nor the standard ones behind the front wheel.
Awesome!!!

Nicole, it also does not have the front and rear small lights in yellow, instead they are white.
I agree, I like the look too.
You mention the side moldings, mine were removed when the paiting and mirrors were added - done by the PO - one of the main reasons I bought it with the known other problems.
I still opt for the side lights that match the color of the car.

Is this a flick from somewhere in Europe?
I never saw a purple car while I was there... some bizarre looking DKW and Peugot's maybe, but no purple cars.
Looks like -could be wrong- German on that that silver pillar sign at aft end of Deep Purple.

That is a Purple 1995 928 GTS. Purchased direct from the Porsche factory used car department a couple of years ago. How do I know this. Well firstly the owner is Stephen Taylor. Second Stephen and his GTS have visited us in Switzerland and thirdly Stephen is the Chairman of our club The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Club.
Web site URL is www.tipec.org.uk
Yes the photo is very apt. On his way to visit, Stephen stopped at Lindau Germany and washed his GTS before crossing the border into Austria and then over into Switzerland.

Adrian

Thanks for the picture, looks great. Interesting front plate 319 MPH, surely it should be 319 KPH
Is it an auto? Also, how did it come to be have different lights. The white ones and no side markers at all?

Now we all want to know from Stephen, where he got those clear turn signal and rear lenses from. And why his beast has no side markers whatsoever!
Can you ask him and let us know? If not, how can we contact him? We REALLY want to know...

I have just heard from Stephen. He is having trouble accessing the boards so please contact him direct at
stephen.taylor10@virgin.net
I am sure he will be happy to answer your queries. He did tell me only 30 seconds ago that everything on his 928 is standard.

clear turn signal lenses are standard on lot of european cars. the clear fronts (87 -> )can be had from jaquemond for $150. don't know if these include the clear filler piece, ours are black...
just remember in the states if you want to stay legal you have to use yellow bulbs with clear lenses...
