Mike, I drive mine all winter too, but Kevin's is pretty well babied. It stays indoors when the weather is frightful. But maybe something could be put together later in October, and we might possibly be able to patch things up by then. Or maybe not. We'll see.

Art,

That's probably a good idea. No reason to be silly about this. I'll post a go or no-go on Friday night so no one is left in the dark about whether or not it's going to happen.

Also, if anyone wants my cell phone, just send a PM and I'll give it to you for directions enroute or in case you need to get in touch for any other reason.

Here's what I think the roster looks like:

Me - In
Adam G. - In (and hosting the GTG/Tech session after the drive - Thank you)
Art_Z - In?
rhys- In?
JHowell37 - In?
Leslie and Kevin - Maybe next time?
NickT - ?
Don - (Swinned) ?
Calrcm - ?

Anyone else?

Thanks Anthony,

Will do.

Either way, I think we should try for one more GTG before the weather goes south, since Leslie and Kevin can't make this one either.

Maybe we can try a fall foliage tour somewhere.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday.

I'm thinking we may have to make a game-day decision. You've got my cell phone number and you can call me anytime after 5:30 am. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Maybe it will come through early and blow over.

Mike & Art_Z,

I just checked the hour-by-hour forecast for Freehold and they are currently predicting rain up to 9:00am (60% chance) Saturday morning.

Art_Z - time-wise, how far of a drive is it for you?

Adam

depends on how far down the "GO" pedal is pressed ...

mapquest says 96 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes. I think I can beat that by a good 20 minutes. Its and early Saturday drive in the middle of the month, so the cops should still all be asleep.

I don't mind driving in the rain a bit to get down, car aint that much of a garage queen.

If you come across I-195, my experience has been that the staties don't ever sleep! Granted, they have probably fulfilled their quotas already, but getting stopped could really fry your eggs on a Saturday morning, couldn't it?

Well, as of right now, we're praying for sun rather than rain. The prediction looks like a coin toss.

If anyone else wants my cell phone number to check in the morning, send me a PM, otherwise, with a little luck we'll see a few of you in the am.

Hey Mike,

My friend Paul is coming also with either the 944T or the Boxster - I know, it's not a 928....but both are Porsche's!

I'm OK with a little rain as my car has not seen any in several years!

Looking forward to tomorrow's GTG!
Adam
