Is it just me, or do the rubber boots that connect the runners to the plenum look wrong? The matched white wheels look very nice, but I bet are a b***** to keep clean.
I think the red intake would look better in a black car (like mine!)
this (the red one on on ebay) looks to me like a totally home grown spraycan job. Terrible. If you did it right, i.e. powdercoat or high quality enamel, i think it would look really good. I found a pic of a blue enamled (?) intake today that looked very nice. Not my choice of color but this quality in a red intake might be very sexy. In any case, this is clearly a higher quality finish. Bottom line, if you half *** the job it will look half ***.
How about the kind of matte wrinkle finish they use on some engines?
You will probably achieve similar results with powdercoating.
I think a somehow matte finish might suit the intake even better than a shiny enamel paint.
I would probably paint only the main chamber of the intake on 16v models and leave the tubing as it is.
The all-red version seriously reminds me of spiderman...
BTW, did anyone notice the "professional stereo installation" the car at hand features - .
Those speakers will blow you right out of your seats...especially when you happen to get involved in an accident.
