'91 GT on Autotrader...Kansas
No affiliation, etc., etc. Just seems like an exceptionally nice car/price combination. I checked the title record and there is a "possible rollback" notation, but it looks either spurious and/or non-consequential to me.

It's an auto, therefore not a GT.

Swaybar, you beat me to that comment. However, it does look like a nice S4.
Appears to be Maritime Blue over cashmere. While those photos aren't the best, I bet it's very attractive in person.
If it were closer, I'd be happy to go check it out for anyone interested. However, it's at least 3 hrs from me.
Hope it goes to a good home.

I am going to look at a car tomorrow just for comparison purposes, also listed as an S4/GT. It has the auto too. I wonder if thses guys take that S4/GT off the owners manual?

Its usually selectable from the website that the car is for sale on
I have my car on cars.com and they have no GT to select for 1990 model year, so i tried 91 and there is a "GT" selection, so thats why my car is listed as a 91, i am sure when you select 928 the only choice is "S4/GT" thats why it always appears.

Yeah ive got a new suspension, new engine, paint is in excellent shape but the front bumper could use a respray. The next project is redying the front and rear seats. Ive also got 19" wheels coming soon as well. I wont really budge on price now that ive added all this stuff, i think i may just keep it.

I think the reason you see the S4/GT designation so much is that when you run a CARFAX (unless it has changed since last time I ran my S4's VIN), S4s show up as "S4/GT".
A CARFAX I just pulled out of a file folder that I had run on my '90 S4 in 2003 showed the year/make/model as exactly this: "1990 PORSCHE 928 S-4/GT".

Are you still in the hunt? Waiting for that 98+ point car to pull up in your driveway on its own?

Not really in the hunt since the baby Benz is actually more suitable for the wife... I do have some automated searches set up and a friend whom I'm trying to convince ;-), so when I see what looks like a nice car I post it here in case someone is looking. I missed the fact that this "GT", wasn't though.
If I *were* in the hunt I probably would buy/have bought that black S4 that "NavyPilot" was offering for sale here. That's a nice-looking car!
I sold the low-miles 951 and I'm getting ready to put the S2 with 30K miles up for sale as we are moving out of L.A. in a couple of months and going to New Mexico (!!!). Maybe I'll find a pristine GTS parked in our driveway with a big red ribbon on it there. If so, I'll have a councours judge check it out and if it passes muster, I'll make room in the garage.

There is a one owner 90 for sale here in O.C. I went there today to look it over and they said it was being serviced. It is on Autotrader.
