Regarding these supercharger kits:

Let the market decide.

We, the 928 owners, are interested in a relatively inexpensive way to get more horsepower and torque. We can have Devek build a $10,000 stroker, we can give Erik Munck $20,000 to do R&D on a supercharger setup, we can buy a FAST kit for $5,000, or NOS for $1,000. We can try the Huntley supercharger kit for $3,500, build our own setup, or try DeltaP's kit...

It will all come down to cost, power, and reliability.

So far, Erik's cars are blowing up.
That tends to scare people away.
Not to mention the time it takes...

Devek's strokers are still going strong.
Good reliability, but pricey.

FAST seems to have 20 happy customers.
No exploded engines that I know of.

Only one or two 928 owners have NOS.
I'd like to hear more about that option.

Huntley's kit is not out, or priced.
So we do not know the reliability, the cost,
or the horsepower... Same with DeltaP.

When all the options are out, and on the table, we will all get to see the dyno figures, and the price sheets, and the customer testimonials. If the supercharger kits do not kill engines, it will end up being a better option than a stroker. If the SC engines blow up, then it seems like a better deal to get a stroker, than to blow an engine, and have to rebuild it anyhow. Eventually the facts will speak for themselves. If the new brackets break, we will hear about it. If SC engines blow up, people will tell us.

In a few years, we will know what works, who does good work, and what is the best bang for the buck...

I'm just VERY happy there are more options out there for 928's now. There used to be very little in the way of performance products. Now there is competition. Competition is GOOD... Prices will drop, as they already have with the Huntley project. FAST started out at $5K, because they were the *only* good kit. If DeltaP or Huntley can offer a better kit, for less $$$, people will buy it...

Let the battle begin!

We are the winners in the long run.

Delta P:
What superchargers does your bracket handle? I'm assuming its modelled after a Vortech, and if so, what Vortechs fit? Some or all? Will you be selling the bracket by itself? It does look really really nice, and that tensioner is a good idea, have you tested it?
