This sad news makes the Boston event september 8 a lot more important as the last big 928 gtg for the season on the east coast.
My mom owns a bed and breakfast on a horse farm an hour from Boston, and has no other guests that weekend. We could converge there September 7th friday for dinner and beer and all the out-of-towners could stay over and just have the hour ride in to Brookline the next am.
The food is excellent, and plenty of room and car wash ability also. Anybody interested?

I have been in contact with several of you about this today, I think that it is doable if we keep things the same as last year. Tech sessions by John V, David L or maybe Stan S? Hugh guys maybe???
Tomorrow I will make a few calls and see if I can't get things lined up for 9/28 but there are no guarantees. The biggest obsticles are going to be Funktion Auto as I haven't heard from them this year, need to lock down Carpool for sat night and secure group rates for attendees at the same hotels from last year. Costs will be about the same as last year, $25 for saturday and $25 for sat night this covers appitizers and room rental from 6-12pm.
Keeping those things in mind this would be the plannned weekend:
