84 928s Books

Are there any decent service books like
Chilton, Haynes, etc that would cover a 1984
928S ??

Thanks
Paul

The best book for the money (~ $20) is the OWNER"S MANUAL. If you don't have one GET IT!

The Chilton book is worth about $10, but they now sell for about $20 (if you can find one).

The best by far is a set of Service Manuals. The paper versions are rather pricey, but they will likely pay for themselves on the first or second repair job. YMMV. (Also, they hold their value and can actually be considered an investment. I bought my 9 volume set for $150. I could sell them today, in a NY minute, for twice that amount. I'm not exagerating either.)

Hi Ed

Thanks for your reply. I do have the
owner's manual.

Although in years past I have restored/
repaired Jags, Triumph TR3, Datsun 2000SPL, Jensen Healey, Opel GT, etc., I am not sure I could live up to a complete set of service manuals :)

Since I am fly home on Friday nights and leave on Sunday nights, I don't have the urge to do major repair work. Old Age, I guess.

All the best
Paul
