Post How many are "ex-928" owners?

Message from MikeD below got me a-thinking...

Who of us out there are on the board as ex-928 owners, and why did you sell?

I'll start the ball rolling.

Bought my '89 S4 in 1999 and sold it two years later. Had alot of fun in it, but found I was only taking it out on weekends. I'm lucky enough to have a 944 and I felt it was better for me for the commute & busy traffic. Do miss the shark though, and I do check up on y'all on the web sites.

I came real close, but got cold feet and decided to keep "Gretch". She was my everyday driver (no snow, mine "hibernate")from 1992 until 2000, when I bought her stable mate, a guards red C4 cab. Gretch is now semi retired, and sees a few thousand miles a year road time. I am passionate about the car and am glad I could relieve her of the every day commute burden. There is nothing I have ever driven that gives the same experience.

Still turns heads and goes like a bat out of hell.

Hell no I won't sell. 78 faded silver 5 speed. no sun roof, no leather, no power seats. Just the basics. Owned it for going on 12 years. Have updated to "S" brakes, S4 wheels, Borla, No cat, No smog pump, Bilstiens, Weltmiester 400sp springs, Steel ball joints, Poly sway bar bushings. just rolled over 119,000 miles and still nary a rattle. Going strip it and paint this fall. Continue to drive it everyday rain or shine. (just can't help it).
