Adam, maybe so. But to an enthusiast, having a porsche 928 -engined boat is the coolest thing available. We can all go buy a Chevy-powered boat anytime. Not the point.

Cameron will you please take lots of photos, particularly of the engine and cooling lines etc?

I would like to see actual pictures of the boat with the S4 engine in it and not the promotional brochure photos.

There is so little information in this auction that I'm wondering if it's a scam.

I think Normy should just get some other small speedboat with a blown engine, and toss a supercharged 928 engine in it, just for the cool factor!

Kind of confused because the Porschekineo site, in the technical section, lists twin Mag 454 Merc engines and Bravo legs....same engine and leg i had in my boat and its chevy, not an S4 engine. I agree with the comments about 2 S4 engines in a marine environment....the one in my car worries me enough!

I like this line on the "sale"....."To place a bid of US $15,000.00 or more, you'll need to provide a valid credit card or complete the ID Verify process ($5)." Just to be sure you are real I need all your personal information......Yea Right ! Somehow I think that might cost more than $5

PS: Cameron: Where is that boat at? It's funny- I had to work on a house today, but my plan was to go look at a car in Coral Springs and then try to find that boat for some pictures.

That guy is asking $275k for this boat. What do you folks think it is ACTUALLY worth?

Heh! I'm not a boat expert at all, but I bet he doesn't get $40k for that thing!

Normy,

The boat is at Gulf Performance in Pompano. Gulf is North off of Copans, just east of Dixie hwy but it is a bit hard to find. If you Mapquest their address (450-A NE 27th St) it will be easy for you. About 25 mins from Wilton Manors.

I mean, I think it is the same boat. How many of these things can there be in So Flo!

My 25' boat will do 45 MPH at 5000 lbs with a 9 foot beam and 225 HP. I am pretty sure a slim 28' boat with 2800 lbs can do 70 MPH. But a jet drive will only work well on completely smooth water, so it will probably barely be able to cruise in the ocean with 3' waves.
I saw the boat as well this morning and it looks cool. Looked to me as if the hull was painted and not gel coat-ed.
