Default Climate Control Sliders

The sliders on my climate control are all wobbly. Can these be easily replaced, or are they simply not seated right? Don't want to just try pushing them in and have them break.

The control sliders have two plastic support prongs on either side. They often break.
They also fit into metal brakets for support witch also fall off when the plastic prongs break. Hence the wobbly sliders.

The metal brackets and plastic contol sliders are available at 928 Specialist.

Good Luck

Thanks. Sounds like the unit doesn't need to come out to fix this?

edit - is this the whole thing?

Chris,

unfortunetly the unit does have to come out and be split apart to do it right. The fiber optics need to be inserted into the back of the new sliders.
Now would be a good time to order the Jaeger led light for the climate control system.

Good Luck Rich

Got it, I've seen the instructions, don't think it's too hard. It's going on the to-do list. Thanks!

If the sliders are already wobbly, it's likely one of the prongs is either broken or worn to the point that it won't hold. Therefore, it makes removal easy and you can replace them with the unit in place - just gotta be careful to make sure the metal spring is positioned correctly when replacing with the new slide.
