I just finished dis-assembling and re-assembling a Kinesis made 3 pc "3.6 Turbo" type wheel. In this case, I had to have some repair done to the center spider, then repaint it. I - of course - had the tire dismounted, then marked the back side of the rims & spider, so I'd re-assemble them exactly as dismantled. The rims were never separated from each other. Re-used the bolts (Titanium, I think). Torqued them in a star pattern, progressing around the wheel each time, thus 8 circles for the 40 bolts. Remounted the tire, and have been driving on it for several days. No leaks, no problems.
Cheers,

Yes, they are taking calls. I tried email at first but got no answer (waited 3 days). They are now owned by Lexani, who deals mainly in bling wheels. Kinesis does stil exist as its own brand name. http://www.kinesismotorsports.com

I spent many hours and thay came out looking new. You can use a Mothers ball to go around the bolts and a rust remover to lossen the rust.

Do it or send it out, forget the dremel tool you will scratch the wheels take your time than look back and see your smiling face in your work !
Love this idea. I think this is going to be my first line of attack. Do you recommend a particular paint safe rust remover? Rost-off is a good one, but if you have one you like, please let me know.

Thanks!
