How to remove rear seat backs?
I've got the two outboard allen bolts that bolt into the rear quarter panel and the one inboard allen bolt under the leather trim piece that bolts into the hatch floor, but the seat backs still don't want to come out. They feel like they are anchored on the inboard side against the rear A/C.
The Nichols site states that there are some bolts under the rear A/C console that need to be removed. I got the grate and vents off, and unbolted the 6 screws that hold the rear console on (I hope there are only 6 ), but the rear console won't come up over the rear A/C condensor. The rear section of the console frame appears to be pinned (pinched) inbetween the A/C fan motor and the floor of the hatch area.
So, do I really need to get under the rear console anyway, or are the three allen bolts all that are holding the rear seat backs in. If I do need to get under the rear console, do I need to remove the rear A/C fan motor in order to free up the console, or do I just need to work it a little harder?
Thanks for any input.

to remove the console, first remove the grills, then the screws on the sides that hold the silver mounts ( the visible ones) then you must spread the sides of the console a bit to clear the screws heads that hold the other end of the silver mounting brackets, once you spread the sides gently lift the console up it will lift off without much effort then you will see the other bolts that hold the seat backs, the console may also be glued to the the floor along the bottom edges watch out for this
