Leatherique Works - Thanks Roger - After Pics Attached

I just finished the second application of Leatherique Rejuvinator this morning. Based on the results obtained from the first application, this is a great product. It's so damn refreshing to buy something that works as advertised!

I'll post after pics this evening or over the weekend but I doubt the pictures will do the seats justice. For anyone considering the product, here's my experience.

The car was detailed a week ago and the seats were clean but bone dry. The car was actually stored with a dusty car cover inside and I think it sucked all the moisture out of the interior. I don't know if that's possible but the seats were so dry they looked white in areas instead of dark blue. The leather also had large spider lines on the large side and butt pads of the sport seats.

Not any more. Like I said I'll post after pics later after I use the cleaner. The first time I used the cleaner, I got very little dirt.

Thanks for the tip Roger.

I tried to take the pictures from the same angle. The stick was missing the pigment before but the glare from the flash hid the wear spots. Hope ya'll can tell something from the photos.

The pics are after two applications of Rejuvinator. After each application, I left the car out in the sun all day (85 degrees here) with the windows up per instructions. In the evening, I cleaned the seats with Leatherique Pristine Clean per the instructions.

It was worth it. I may apply a third application as I am getting some grime out. I hope this is of help to someone else with worn seats.

Take care,

Waiting on those after pics Randy!

Tonite or tomorrow, I promise!

Randy, those seats look terrible.

Would you give them to me, and I promise to make them look really good in my car. :p

Randy Carter 04-13-2007 09:14 PM

Hi Sean:
Would you like me to deliver them on the weekend of April 28 or May 5. I'm thinking about driving up to see the Dallas group for their weekend GTG on one of those two weekends.

We could take the seats out while I'm there. Do you have a wife or girlfriend I could use as a seat (initially) on my drive home? I promise to send her back via SW Air before my wife comes home. ( I can't stand cat fights )

Send pics. Of the wife, relative or friend and I'll call you.

Randy,
I would give up my GTS for Sean"s wife - a fine lady - Sean is a very lucky guy - luckily he knows that.
That would be great if you could make one of our GTG - always room at my place.
Roger

Hi Roger;
I just posted the after pics; I hope they show enough detail to be of use.

I was serious about making a trip to Dallas. Cheryl ( my wife ) is going on a trip with family and I'd go stir crazy without her for a week and a half. Ya'll seem to have some colorful characters up their ( the owners seem ok too ) and I'd love to see/meet both.

Would either of the weekends be better for meeting everyone. Other than you and your infamous used car lot, I would really like to meet Jim and his '93. :jumper:

I tipped a buddy of mine who was fixing up a Cadillac Allante that had sat in the S. Texas sun for 10 years about this stuff. The seats were like cardboard when he started, they were pretty darn supple after a few treatments of rejuvenator. It was impressive.

ROG100 04-13-2007 09:51 PM

Randy,
May 5th is our next GTG so that would be best if you want to meet everyone.
Jim has become a very famous celebrity in the DFW area with his new seats, rear seat delete, HomeLink system, fire Extingusiher, rear brake light and on and on, that we need to book him way ahead of time to ensure he can make an appearance.
I am sure he will make an appearance for you after such a long journey.
If we get really really lucky Sterling may have his car ready as well.
Roger

Sterling said last week that he'd be there in May with his 928. I'm holding him to that.

Great Roger! I'd like to meet as many of the Dallas folks as possible. I'll plan on driving up Friday, May 4. I've put it on my calendar. Can you recommend a decent hotel in the area?

Champagne 04-13-2007 10:23 PM

Linda and I are certainly due for a break.
We might just drive up. can't let you guys have all the fun, all the time.
It will depend if my current project is done.

Plenty of room at chez Tyson.
We will expect the Champagnes and Randy to stay with us - no arguments.
Party time at the Tyson ranch.
Roger

There is a Maverick Region "concours" deal going on that night too. I got an e-mail from Tom asking why there were no 928's registered. It's free and would be a good thing for some of us to do that evening. I hear there won't be any mariachi music so that could be a nice change of pace.

I also volunteered Jim's and Rogers GTS's for the event.

Randy, do make it up that weekend, there are a few houses that you would be allowed to stay at if you need to crash for the night.

Now, Rog....are you serious about the GTS trade?

Randy Carter 04-13-2007 11:29 PM

We will expect the Champagnes and Randy
Apparently, you ain't never had a Randy Champagne. Me thinks yu is askin' fur bubble. I mean, trubble. Oh, whatever!
We'll talk about it in the morning. Things will seem much clearer then. :roflmao:
