Default Homelink installed

I finished another long term project, installing a Homelink garage/gate opener in the car. I put it in the sunroof motor cover for a neat, clean installation. It's a simple reach up and back to push the buttons. Everything is done by feel with no need to look back to find them or which button to push. These are planned to be offered as a kit from Rog100 at 928sRus.com so contact him for info. and pricing.

I like that neat light you have mounted up there.

Very nice Jim, you have made a car the rest of us will use as a model for a long time. I know I'm putting mine together while following your lead. See you in the morning.

Nice work, as usual. I take it it's battery driven and doesn't require 12 volts?

Hi Ernie,

Nope, powered by 12VDC, from the car's electrical system.

Wow I'm about ready to move to Texas!

The TX 928 crew reminds me of the SoCal MB crew I used to hang out with a few years ago. Very active and instead of spending your time trying to make a living you spend more time enjoying life!

Jim, what you're doing is bringing the 928 to current spec without adding the unecessary electricals which will eventually make a car impossible to keep.

Awesome! Put me down for one. I have a garage door opener and a gate opener on my visor. It's gonna start saggin' any day.

I picked up a homelink unit for $5.00 and want to try this install.

Anyone have a decent cheap sunroof motor cover they would like to sell?

Will homelink work with lift master? I have a homelink system in my caravan and can't seem to get it to operate the doors.
