Roger Clemen's Strosek 928S4
|
And just for kicks, it's Beth's car!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-...QQcmdZViewItem I want this 928 so bad I can taste it. |
I like the green car better.

Rockets car was up for sale about a year ago as well. Hmmm? It never brings the $$$ they think its worth.

He told me it had 325 horses, I corrected him. I do like the mod, but only Cy Young winners can bid -- either that or rattle can that panel.

Both are nice cars.
The first thing I would do on that Strosek is scratch off the Cy Young award stuff and the signature. Regardless, it is a foolish look and if by some incredible chance that Roger Clemmens' name is synonomous woth huge collector dollars, than it is easy to trace the VIN which is good enough.. |
I'll bet the TB has never been replaced on Clemen's car, or if it has, it was many years ago.

$45k...NO bids..."Reserve Not Met".....
Unless he shill bids it - my guess is that the auction will end with the exact same status... |
True Story
True story follows. Not sure if this is the same car, but it sure looks like it.
The year was 1987. Working in Boston at the time. I was driving inbound on Huntington Avenue just after Brookline, MA. The road is kind of narrow and the trolley still runs down the center of the road. All of a sudden, out of nowhere after a bend, this fool in a new 928 pulls a u-turn in the middle if the road cutting me off in my service vehicle and nearly casuing a huge accident. The fella driving was so close that I thought it was the Rocket. How do I know he was the fool driving with such a short glimpse of the man? As he pulled away I saw the tag. The license plate read MVP-CY.... No Sh-t. This really happened. |
