Roger,
The Schwartz looked about like this when I picked it up. It's just time and money. Lots of time and lots of money.
I was going to ask if you are feeling better, but after seeing these pics, I guess you aren't.

Sounds like there's a lot of junk in the trunk.

It's the parts car for the other one he has for sale, which looks salvagable.

IMO they should've done a 2-for-the-price-of-1 auction.

Maybe that's why they gave up on the project?

Actually I did not notice the locations, the seller is a list-it-for-you company. Doh!

"On Feb-19-07 at 15:10:17 PST, seller added the following information:
I am going to be listing tonight another porsche that we had purchased to use as a parts car for this Porsche. it has good interior and has all locks and ignition tumlers as well as keys. This car is located in Elk City Oklahoma. So it will need to be transported from there. If interested please email. again, i am going to list this car tonight after i get the pictures from my husbands mom. thanks "

Ha! I was right, the Okie car IS the intended partscar for the red one.

6 hours left on the red 928, going for $810

4 days left on the Okie ruin, Reserve not met @ $100

That's not a project car. Heinrich was dead on when he said "there is not one useful part on that car." 928s really aren't rare, and the general consensus is that the car was improved each and every year it was produced. To restore that thing to something worth being seen in, you're looking at over 10K$ and that entails doing most of the work yourself. The interior has nothing useful. The steel portions of the body are very rusty. A person could get into a S4 for what it would cost to get that thing up and running again. The owner should call someone to haul it away. The metal recycler can make the most use of it at this point.

You're right, it looks like there are 3 useful parts:

1) fuel door
2) DS fog light
3) HVAC seal where dash meets PS door.

These might all be worth $100... pay the money, grab 'em & run!

I'd pay $100 for the AC/heater assembly, but I can't tell if it's still there.
