Default Transaxle codes, how to ID?

I was looking at a transaxle the other day, wrote down the code and I am getting noplace decoding it. G28 11 1271 1F05121

if this number was stamped on the transmission & it had a 12 after the first 11 then it is an LSD

You wrote 1271 If it was 12 (space) 71 then it is probably an LSD (of course people do swap things in and out of the differential).

you also wrote 1F05121 but so far as I know there should be no letters only numbers

1     = manual gearbox
23    = 928
56    = 11 is US '85-86
89    = 40% ZF LSD
B     = transmission for 8 cylinder car
C     = 5-speed
D     = model year, F = '85
EFGHI = serial number with transmission type and MY,
        first US box for '85 was 5001
