No affiliation, I thought with the recent discussions there might be some interest. I considered it for a couple of days but I have and am happy with the Kempf tool. No bids as of yet, starting bid is $300.00

I guess I am the stand out here, I have both of them and I do not seem to have the repeatabilty problems with the 9201 that every one else does.

I use the 9201 and think it is a very good tool.

I use the great Kempf tool to "ball park" the settings and the 9201 to double-check that all's OK. One could get by with just the Kempf tool if you know that the settings may vary between the 16V and 31V cars. I don't think that's in the instructions. The Kempf tool is great for really quick checks. The 9201 is a tedious instrument to use in tight quarters but does comes in handy and works easily on the alternator belt (which runs tighter than you would think it should). I figure the 9201 is a good investment if you can get it at a reasonable price as I doubt the price will go down. You can always sell it later...maybe for more than you paid for it if you buy "right."

It's important to get the calibration bar too. I'm not sure about the extra roller gizmos/pads and what purpose they serve. To help insure replicability, I mark one side of my "flats" and always use them together.

Looks like the gauge sold for US $522.00...pretty good hunk of change. No wonder the Kempf tool does so well.
