I think that is perfectly normal. Let the clutch out and back in and it should go. Or shift in second and then go back to first.
I thought this happens if two gears are exactly tooth on thooth.
If I am correct, the synchros don't do anything when the car is at a dead stop, but I may be wrong.
It happened to me before, but certainly not every day, maybe once every three month...

Sorry for my language. Behaving is not easy when you think someone broke your car and still got some money from you.

Whatever it was, it's going back to normal. Now it takes 2 or 3 attemps and if I keep the force it finally engages, even at 1st attempt. (¿?¿?¿?)

I think with syncro you all refer to the conic clutchs. You are right then it doesn't work when engine is off. I was trying to say that f****** a dog tooth crown and/or his mating sleeve in one day is feasible. But obviously I used more than one word which was out of place.

Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll put new oil and inspect the magnet. I'm going to the Jarama track on saturday and I would not enjoy a locked gbox in any of the fast sections.
