i had to ask
"I have been looking for one of these rare hard to find AWD 928's for a long time. Can you email me some pix of the AWD system? Do you know if its the active or passive system?

Thanks
Kyle"

THose Linen seats look nicer than mine and mine have about half that mileage, weak. Guess they are getting dyed this year to look purty.

I had a guy at a car show ask if mine was the AWD one because its an S4. No Jackass that's the 911C4.

What a joke. I guess the sellers's including the two wheels spinning in his head trying to make the sale.

Mark

I like spinners cause they spin..and spin..and spin..

I wonder if you could buy this thing and then sue the dealer for false advertisement?

Someone needs to test drive it, and then comment on how ONLY the back wheels spin when you floor it.

Dang AWD must be broke!!! I see a huge discount in someones future

Rear view mirror in back seat passenger footwell...What option was that?? Does have orig Reno though which I like...

Someone should ask him if the awd system is working because it is a common failing weakpoint on these models. Ask the dealer to verify and then see what they say.

I worked with a guy about 5 years ago that bought a '87 S4 from ebay. He owned it for a year before I meet him. He was convinced that the S4 meant 4 wheel drive. After explaining to him what it actually meant, he didn't believe me. I told him to do a brake torque and see how many wheels are spinning, or look underneath and find the transfer case or related hardware. He never brought that up again, after he went home and checked.

That's the "I don't want my Corvette buddies seeing me drive a better vehicle" option. When you're driving around in your 928, and you see one of your Corvette buddies coming the other direction, you duck your head behind the passenger seat. With the mirror in place, you can watch them drive by, letting you know it's save to raise your head again.

When I picked up my S4 from the dealer after some service work was done (yes, this was a LONG time ago) there was a salesman hovering around the car. I jokingly said I'd give him a good price on the car. His response was "no thanks, these all wheel drive models are hard to sell". Don't know where the confusion comes from, but it appears not be isolated.

This just in:

"The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."

I had emailed him early this morning and asked him how he locks the hubs in....lol
