It appears that he has mounted two A/A intercoolers. One in each front fender in front of the wheel. Like this. A great place for them IMHO.

I personally prefer A-W IC's, especially the laminova in-plenum units. John chose A-A for their mechanical reliability. Yes, the IC's are stealth mounted in front of the rear wheels, which explains the cold air plumbing coming out of the inner fender.

I am 95% sure this will fit onto an automatic 928 the same as a 5-speed

uh oh... I fear that unless some guards are put on those ICs they are gonna get torn to hell with the wheels kicking stuff up. The oil cooler on a Spec Racer Ford racer is placed in a similiar orientation to the rear wheels, and just gets torn up by the gravel kicked up from the tires.

I like the airfilter set up and the snorkle that leads up to the stock location. Theres the solution for many of the TwinsScrew guys with Andys kits.

I really like the aftermarket IC's on 911's - that remove the factory ducting from the wale tale. What air is going through these?

The cooler mounted on the top of the condensor in front of the radiator is for the auto trans suplimental cooler but since the A/c condesor is shorter it sits down pretty well.

Not sure why you would want air to air, air/water intercoolers are far superior and take up allot less space. Of course you have to run another water system, pump, and reservior. I guess that eats up a bunch of space too.
I like it actually. But I would make a nice plate to cover everything from the hoot latch up to the cross brace. All those pipes look a bit water works for me. They would probably look better powder coated some color but I am impressed. It looks pretty good.

The car pictured in Faboi421's post is the stroked, twin turbo/intercooled, nitrous injected car I spoke of a few weeks ago. What you don't see is the mild
louvering of the rear of the front fenders. Very "sharkish"

Ahhhh no they are not! Better do a little reasearch and you'll see what I mean. There were some heated debates over this about a year ago. Air-Air is more efficinet, if they are large enough, it can get near ambient. This is something that an Air-Water can never do.
Now if you look at a equal sized cooler (and W-As are usually pretty small), the Air-Watrer can remove heat quicker but it will never get near ambient. Except if you are running ice water in the system than it will, but that's only good for racing applications.
Air-Water ICs are sometimes the only option if space is limited or if a positive displacelent SC is used.
Either of the ICs are better than non but in an ideal situation Air-Air is the best.

C5 and C6 Corvettes with aftermarket cold air kits have a very simillar setup. They draw the air infront of the rad and the intake tube flattens out over the rad.
