Looking to buy 928 S4 87 or newer
I am now looking for a 87 or newer 928S4. I live in NW Ohio and will consider some cars from some disatance if the seller is willing to meet me half way. I am looking to spend under $15K or ther abouts but I want a perfect car. Ther are quite a few on Auto Trader that have my attention. PM me if your car is for sale. I will be looking to buy in the next few weeks.

There are plenty of cars out there if you don't get in too big of a hurry. Some are good deals if you want to detail them. Some are dogs that look really good but have some issues that will bite you not long after you buy. A PPI is important. If I were selling, however, I'd want full payment before delivering 1/2 way. What if I were to drive half way and meet you and you decided you didn't want the car? Or you didn't show up? Also, I'd have to take a plane back to my hometown. The cost of driving the car yourself would be better. Or using a shipper, although the latter is chancy with the cheaper shippers. It's always best if you can see the cars "in person" before you plunk the money down since so many are misrepresented.
Saying that, I don't have a car for sale but just recently bought one in AZ and am still looking to get it back to Idaho. About every option for me will cost about $1500. So I may trailer it myself just to make sure that it's delivered safely. It's due for a Tbelt change so I don't want to drive it, nor get road salt on it.

If I were you I would spend the extra 7k and get the red car low miler has listed. Spend less and you could easily spend the 7k in repair on the wrong choice.

Ther are allot of cars out ther to look at but of course none close. The Low Miler car is a about 4 hours away. Just out of my price range. It could be but I don't want payments. I will not buy a car I don't see or drive. So that rule's out cars 2000 miles away. I am willing to travel 500-600 miles for the right car. I plan to have a long conversation with seller's and tell them my expections and hopfully they are up front with what they are selling. I will also request allot of pictures from all angles. It may take a while but I have all winter. Some of the problem is cars listed on Autrader have been sold but the seller has not removed the add.

The trick is to find a nice one before somebody is trying to flip it, once a flipper has the car its out of my budget.
One of the PPI guides has a check list for the first call, and I think its important that you be fully prepared for the call and ready to act on it. You don't really want to be in the middle of explaining your expectations and have the seller tell you sorry but he just accepted a email offer. Same goes for asking for pictures, a PPI, etc.
