Electrical problem 90S4
Got off work tonite unlocked the car to get in and every thing was normal.Interior lights on got in put the key in the ignition and closed the door.As soon as i did that the interior lights went off and i thought that was very strange.Anyway started her up and my tahometer was not working also my antilock indicator light remained on and my speedometer was not working. Then i notice that my fuel gauge was not working and the temp gauge also. The only thing that was working ampmeter gauge and the instrument lihgts.Got home checked the fuses #25 fuse was blown rplaced it and was blown again and then i notice #26 blew at the same time time i replaced #25 fuse. It`s to dark to go any further so somebody has any idea to what the hell happened tonite to cause this.I know that both fuses have something to do with the rear hatch motor and the intirior lights

You may have a short in one of the interior lights. Carefully pull them out of the headliner and make sure the wires are where they are supposed to be. If they short against the roof or other metal it will behave as you describe. Don't replace the fuses till you have checked out the lights.

funny, i thought my dome light, if you can call it that between the visors was burnt out, i was sitting in line at in-n-out and for whatever reason decided i would play with it, tapped it once, and the thing lit up. COOL, turned it off, went to turn it on again and no go. The one on the top/ roof section of the hatch that is the light for the rear seat passengers i started to fool with and it just fell out.
Is this common, the arcing out on the roof deal?

The gauges run through the interior light fuse (25) as well as their own fuse (bizarre, huh?), so if an interior light shorts, the gauges will not work either. Part of the tailgate release runs through the light fuse as well.
The dome light is a common source for this problem. Pry it out and you may find is is broken on one end, and the wire contact is shorting againt the roof.
