Devek Days report and photos!!!
Another successful Deveks days!!
Fridays reception was fun with a smaller turnout (once I got there....damm traffic!) Followed by a nice dinner with a small group staying at the hotel (plus StevenB-Nicole-BillS)
Got there early to help setup and get the wash & shine concours going....we got 16 cars to enter the wash & shine......it was very competitive with 3 cars tied for 2-3-4th place and the top 5 only two points apart (of 200)....after a slight miscalculation in the places (opps my bad)....the final finish order was:
1st: StevenB's 89GT
2nd Cheryl Day's 94 GTS
3rd John & Marianne G's 82 Weissach (this one is really in excellent shape)
4th Tony A's 94 GTS
5th Mike M's 88 S4
There were several very nice 928's present.....a little more on this weissach....in a word....Stunning....excellent condition, low mileage, with complete luggage......way better than the one that was for sale on ebay for $75K
Thanks to Rob H for helping me with the judging duties....16 cars is alot of work to judge!
Another highlight was seeing Paul Champagnes work first hand!! Bill Swift's steering wheel and center console are nothing short of artwork...simply amazing....they look amazing in pictures...but when you actually touch them....its unreal!!
Another highlight was the door prize raffle.....Kiborts little boy won a really cool remote control Carrera GT......he was so excited......he grabs the box, reads it for a second....and yells "Cool I won a CAMARO".......luckily MK was quick with the hand over the mouth........everyone got a good laugh!!
Thanks to Marc & Susan for putting on a great event! Nicole did a great job keeping things rolling and getting the parking organized!!

Unfortunately I had to leave around 11am and didn't count the cars but it was a really nice turnout and there were more arriving when I left. The lot is huge and it was pretty much full when I left. The shop is really nice for hosting an event like this. Good job, Susan, Marc, & everyone that helped put on the event - first class all the way. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Great event! Good to see all the shark and shark owners again.
Tims car was pretty impressive. Got to love that 510rwhp dyno sheet. what a sleeper!
Al did a great job on the burgers too!
Thanks again Devek for great afternoon. Jack and his new Carerra GT cannot be separated. Its at the base of his bed right now as he sleeps!

Double Drat!
DD was great until the kids started to melt down before the dyno runs.
510rwhp is wild and makes me drool.
The white car replacement rocks. Something just short of a pizza box for the oil cooler and the fully tunable front struts w/ oil expansion reservoirs in front of the radiator was sweet.
Susan and Al were great hosts for the event!
Won a Hat, Shirt, and Blue Shark today in the drawing, when is the next lotto drawing?

WOW - Awesome event! Bill Swift and I went to the Friday reception, today's events, and both dinners with our "family"... Great people = great time!
Today, I took on the job of precisely positioning the cars for best possible photography. We decided on a Chevron pattern, and I drove everybody nuts getting their car in position. Some started teasing me about all this precision stuff... OK, as a German, I probably deserve it...
I don't have a count of the cars, but I can say that there were over 50 cars coming and going. We had the wide range of Porsches from a 66 912 to a fully Exclusive optioned 996 turbo that had full rootwood package and leather even on the frames of the speaker grills. Totally amazing!!!
The local Porsche dealer brought out a few cars also - a Boxster, a Cayman S and a Cayenne Edition. It was very interesting to see and feel these new models, which are undoubtedly impressive. But somehow, I have to admit, I did not feel I was missing anything when I got back into my beloved shark... Well, I missed the new car smell, I admit it.
I'm sure more pictures will follow after tomorrow's fun drive.
Sorry, if you missed the event!

I had a lot of fun too... My wife even liked being there.... thanks to Suan Marc and Al Lucky and all those affiliated with DEVEK...
Great community... when I bought my car a little over two years ago I knew it was going to be a big project but I also realized that the people were supportive and a very fun group...
Mark, My wife liked talking to Jack the most... We thought him winning the Carrera GT was the most fitting thing ever...
Wish I could be out there on the fun ride today... but I am flying to boston for work at 1... better pack!!!

I wonder how many scratches are on the fender from the rivets on his jeans.

Did you guys ever stop to think that that "fat Dude" is likely a member and might be offended by this rude comment? Not really necessary to us a derogatory desrciption like that, have some class.
Now I can't wait for Sharktoberfest.
