Sorry for the delay, Christmas got in the way. Back in May 2017 Stan sold Greg and I an '89 GT with 60K miles on it. As best I can tell it was stolen in NYC in 1994, recovered and auctioned off Allstate in 2000 to a dealer in Virginia. It passed through at least 2 more people before Stan bought it, and Greg and I took a shot at making her whole again. The engine had been disassembled down to the shortblock, so we decided to take it all the way down to the crank to make sure everything was right. Greg rebuilt the engine and transmission (with a little help from me) and I handled the cosmetics- the car had enough dings and scratches on it that it warranted a repaint but it has to have been stored inside as the interior is beautiful. For all the indignities of being stolen, stored, and shipped around for 24 years, she's in remarkable shape.
Here's a look at how the audio on my 83 is currently set up. PO tore out the previous aftermarket system, leaving gaping holes in the doors. The rear speakers and factory amp currently do not work unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it :P)
I'm still in the process of cleaning up the install, clearly. The head unit is just sitting in there.
